ICA Learning offers a variety of opportunities for audiences to learn more about our projects and exhibitions and to take part in lively and topical discussions around contemporary arts and culture.
Working in collaboration with our University Partners in London, nationally and internationally, the ICA’s Symposia open up the latest contemporary research in academia to the wider public, making direct connections with the ICA’s programme and new developments in contemporary culture. See our schedule of upcoming Symposia.
Led by artists, curators and other cultural practitioners, our Gallery Talks enable visitors to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of our exhibitions. Our speakers offer unique perspectives on the works, building on the interdisciplinary nature of the programme and its interpretations. See our schedule of upcoming Gallery Tours.
Aimed at students aged 16+, these events are programmed in relation to our current exhibitions or wider ICA Programme and are led by professional artists.
The workshops encourage young people to develop their practical skills in a variety of disciplines, aesthetic understanding of contemporary art and critical judgement on themes in the exhibitions. We also programme talks and discussions around contemporary culture and visual arts.
STOP PLAY RECORD is a new initiative for young filmmakers, with Arts Council England and Channel 4.
