Special Contribution

Yesterday, we received the following message from Seth:

I hope you are doing something to keep from going crazy! Thinking of London. We are adapting to this new hinge into a new reality. Here’s something I just made, for your next ICA Daily.
Seth Price is an artist who lives and works in NYC. The ICA presented a survey of his film and video work in 2017.

Watch

I’ve always liked Alina Szapocznikow’s sculptures – they are taken out on the street and window-shopping in this experimental film by Helena Włodarczyk from 1976. Things heat up from 2 min 33 sec, but definitely worth watching in its entirety for the film’s strange and uneasy footage of her anthropomorphic sculptures on desolate streets and in department store windows. Not where you’ll find them today.
