Juliet Jacques Presents, Part II
Institute of Contemporary Arts
Tina Takemoto, On the Line (2018)

Writer and filmmaker Juliet Jacques presents a two-part programme of experimental queer cinema. Focusing on works from the 21st century, Part II includes films by Wolfgang Rupert Muhr, Igor Grubic, Beatrice Gibson, Evan Ifekoya, Tina Takemoto and Juliet Jacques.

Charting the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community, these films offer speculative engagements with queer pasts and utopian imaginings of queer futures.
Juliet Jacques is a writer and filmmaker based in London. She has published two books: Rayner Heppenstall: A Critical Study (Dalkey Archive Press, 2007) and Trans: A Memoir (Verso, 2015). Her short fiction, essays and journalism have appeared in Granta, London Review of Books, The Guardian, Tribune, Frieze, Sight & Sound, Filmwaves and many other places. Her short films have screened in galleries and festivals worldwide.
