ICA Does… is a bulletin series focusing on the various art fairs where the ICA shows and sells our Artists’ Editions. By shedding light on their particularities—from dates and locations, to missions and overall styles—this series of blog posts by former ICA Sales Advisor for Editions Alexandra Olczak will hopefully steer you towards finding the right fairs (and Editions) for you.

Another NADA?

Following a successful debut at the New Art Dealers Alliance (NADA) art fair in New York in May 2016, the ICA will be showcasing a selection of our latest limited Editions at NADA Miami Beach this December. Each year in Miami, NADA holds a renowned art fair to “vigorously pursue their goals of exploring new or underexposed art that is not typical of the ‘art establishment". As it is the only major American art fair to be run by a non-profit organisation, the ICA is excited to be part of an established destination for contemporary art aficionados working towards a united goal.

Who’s going?

NADA Miami Beach is recognized as a much needed alternative assembly of the world’s youngest, most cutting-edge international galleries. Taking place during the hubbub of Miami Art Week from 28 November - 4 December 2016, NADA Miami Beach shares a timeframe with one of the year's most prestigious art fairs, Art Basel Miami Beach, but comes highly recommended as a stand-out alternative detour amongst the dozens of events on offer. The 14th edition of the fair is set to continue showcasing the best of emerging contemporary art, with exhibitors representing 36 cities from 17 different countries, 43 first-time exhibitors, and 29 project spaces. Expect bright, colourful, vivacious hordes of American and international collectors.

What should I look out for?

The ICA is teaming up with Glasgow International for the fair, who will also be exhibiting limited editions by emerging contemporary artists. The ICA will be offering the opportunity to collect the latest and most popular limited edition artworks from the likes of Betty Woodman, Cary Kwok, Chris Succo and Harold Ancart, whose highly sought-after silkscreen print launched at Frieze London this October. What’s more, collectors at NADA Miami will be the first to have the opportunity to purchase Shanghai-based artist Zhang Enli’s new edition, made exclusively for the ICA to celebrate our 70th anniversary.

When and where is it?

This year the fair will be heading back to its place of origin: the Deauville Beach Resort (6701 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33141). The ICA and Glasgow International will be sharing Booth #4.11. If you can’t make it to the fair, contact Ruta Radusyte for more information about our limited Editions - and if you can, make sure to head to Booth #4.11 to chat in person. ■
