You’ve been voting in your hundreds, and now the time has come to finally announce your ‘Book of the Year’!

It seems you’re a fashionable bunch, as Tansy E. Hoskins’ Stitched Up: The Anti-Capitalist Book of Fashion came out on top, with just under 55% of the vote. Beautifully illustrated with specially commissioned designs, Stitched Up delves into the alluring world of fashion to reveal what is behind the clothes we wear. Moving between Karl Lagerfeld and Karl Marx, the book explores consumerism, class and advertising to reveal the interests that benefit from exploitation.

Hot on the heels of the winning book were Eddie Chambers’ Black Artists in British Art, taking second place, and Mark Fisher’s Ghosts of My Life, coming a close third.

A big thank you to all of you who voted. We were delighted that so many of you took part to show your support for your favourite titles. One lucky person will be chosen from all those who entered to win a bumper bundle of prizes, from catalogues, to DVDs and traditional sweet shop treats. If it's not you this time, don't fret. We plan to make this vote an annual event, so check back again next year to shout your top Book of the Year from the rooftops once again, with the chance to win big.

Moved to rush and buy the top picks? All of the books that made it onto our list of highlights are available on the shelves of the ICA Bookshop and via our online Shop.

Now the results are in, what do you think? Did your winner take the lead, or should another choice have taken the top spot? Join in the conversation on Twitter and Facebook using the hashtag #ICABookshop
