For Alma - Alexander Rowland

With 84% of residents voting in favour for the demolition of Alma Estate and £150 million invested into the renewal of the area, those who grew up under Alma's towers must now bid them farewell. For Alma is a send-off to the towers' lived experiences, and their disappointing fate.

Alexander Rowland was born in 1991 in North London, and graduated from University of the Arts London with a BA in Photography. He now works and collaborates in a variety of media and has produced work for platforms such as Vice, Fashion East and Pulse films. His work explores social class identities and the urban environment.
