Head of Individual Giving & Major Gifts

The Head of Individual Giving & Major Gifts will lead on the overall strategic direction, development and day-to-day management of our Individual Giving programme. Working closely with the Senior Management Team and the ICA Board, your responsibility will be to grow the ICA's fundraising capacity to support the ICA Programme and forthcoming capital refurbishment project.    

The ideal candidate will have significant experience with strategic fundraising, prospecting, cultivating and securing major donations and capital gifts. The candidate should also have a good understanding and knowledge of the arts.      

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:

  • To conceive and implement a development strategy in line with the ICA's Business Plan and Vision
  • Raise funding for the ICA Programme and refurbishment project
  • Manage relationships and donations with existing ICA Friends and to conceive a monthly programme of events for ICA Friends
  • Cultivate donors and major gifts through timely approaches
  • Successful delivery of the ICA's Annual Friends Dinner
  • Maximise participation in and income from the Gift Aid programme
  • Work closely with the Curatorial team on dedicated programme supporters circles
  • Lead, grow and motivate the Development team
